Subcommittee Charge:

  • To function in a resource and advisory capacity to assist in disseminating career development and training information to HSOs.
  • To identify issues of interest and facilitate the resolution of concerns as they relate to career development and training.
  • To support personnel needs of HSOs by disseminating information via the HSO Web site, offering training resources, and developing short and long-term category force utilization and professional development.

Subcommittee Team Functions:

Team 1: Promotions: The objective of this team is to serve in a resource and advisory capacity related to promotions by keeping abreast of new developments and policies, posting relevant information onto the HSO website and disseminating this information at appropriate events such as HSPAC meetings and the annual Commissioned Officer Foundation (COF) symposium.  The team is also available to share information with officers on an individual basis.

Team 2: Officer Support and COA Planning: The objective of this team is to provide information and guidance on ceremonies, to include Promotion, Retirement, Succession and other Ceremonies.  This team will also be responsible for planning and setting up the HSO booth for the annual COA conference.

Team 3: Resources: The objective of this team is to identify and disseminate relevant career development and education information.  This team is responsible for maintaining, revising and updating the HSO Career Opportunity Guide.
