ARP Activity Reporting and Training

Annual Currency Requirements

 

The annual currency requirements for the associate recruiter program are:

1) Annual participation in at least TWO recruitment activities; and

2) Annual completion of the ARP refresher training course.

 

Requirement 1: Recruitment Activities

 

An explanation of requirements under the new Associate Recruiter Program policy adopted on April 3, 2006 can be found in CC23.1 Instruction 6, Associate Recruiter Program.

 

The new policy requires two "activities" each year with annual training to maintain status as an Associate Recruiter. Activities are defined in the current policy as one of the following:

 

1) Contact at least five separate potential applicants or conduct a presentation to a group of five or more individuals to talk about Corps programs;

2) Spend a minimum of 4 hours staffing a recruiting booth at a national or regional meeting of the recruiter's professional category association;

3) Precept and/or mentor a Junior Commissioned Officer Student raining and Extern Program (COSTEP) participant, Senior COSTEP participant, resident, or extern for a minimum of 1 month;

4) Visit a professional category school or local high school for a career day, class lecture, or local student chapter meeting to speak to students about opportunities in the Corps (wearing your uniform);

5) Visit a professional category school or commissioning ceremony (wearing your uniform); and

6) Other presentations or events approved by ARC.

 

      Directive on Activity Event Forms (per OCCO/DCCR)

§         Please submit your activity event form electronically to DCCR at arp@hhs.gov and cc your ARP Lead. 

§         Do not email and fax the same reports (select 1 option)

§         Each form must have only 1 event listed (multiple activities listed inside 1 form will not be processed).  You will need to send multiple forms for multiple activities.

§         For HSOs, you must also cc your ARL for complete processing of your event (if you exclude your ARL, your event may not be adequately processed.)

 

As noted above, please complete a fillable activity form and email it to arp@hhs.gov and cc your ARP Lead. Your ARP Lead is designated by your last name:

REMEMBER: Associate Recruiters should continue to officially document all recruitment activities by filling out the current Associate Recruiter activity report form.

 

Follow the instructions below to complete electronic submissions of your activities:

§         Step 1: Go to the Commissioned Corps Management Information System (MIS) Website: http://dcp.psc.gov

§         Step 2: Select Services

§         Step 3: Select Associate Recruiter Materials

§         Step 4: Select PDF/Fillable (DO NOT CHOOSE Word/Fillable-it won’t work!!!)

§         Step 5: Open the PDF form and fill out the form

§         Step 6: Click “save as” in the upper left hand corner of the report. Save the report in your ARP activity reports folder with a title of your last name and 6-digit date of the activity (ie., Colledge AR Activity Report 10-06-06). Open it to make sure it saved before emailing!!! These forms sometimes DON’T save properly!!

§         Step 7: Email report by attaching the saved file to arp@hhs.gov and ccing your ARP Lead

Requirement 2: ARP Refresher Training Course

 

Until available on the CCMIS website, please complete the following steps to obtain and complete the annual refresher training:

 

§         email Ms. Cyndia Harroway at Cyndia.Harroway@hhs.gov

§         title your email “Update Training

§         request the AR Update PowerPoint Training

§         after reviewing the slideshow fax to DCCR your certificate of completion to 240.453.6127, ATTN:  ARP
